Thank you for your emails. An increasing number of inquiries are being made to the status of this project. Shortly after the last update, my wife and I decided to buy a house. Becoming situated here has taken up a lot of my free time unexpectedly. This project is not dead. I do get and read your emails, and try to respond when possible. All I can promise is that Exitilus Online will not die - this is a fanboy adventure, and I'm not looking to ever make money off this thing. If you haven't thrown your email into the list, please do so. If you want to "set and forget" this project and wander elsewhere, the emails will go out when something is ready for testing.

Major thanks to Doug of BBS Files and others for their help. I've got Exitilus 2.05 running locally with admin rights and have been taking a ton of notes the past couple weeks. Soon I will be setting up test cases to determine how character stats, race/class selection, and equipment affect various game mechanics.

Initial "get things going" phase completed. Currently in process of gathering lore from Exitilus, however right now, sadly, I've only got ECI Software's 3.17 to work off of. IMPORTANT: If anyone is in possession of Exitilus v.2.05, has connections, whatever.. PLEASE contact me Got it! In order to make Exitilus Online as close to the original as possible, I'll definitely be needing a copy to work with.
For those interested in contributing, please contact me. Contributions can be anything from ideas for improvement over the 2.05 original, talents concerning database management and/or PHP scripting, AJAX expertise, jQuery experience, or just a heads up to let me know you're keeping your eye out to see the project progress. Everything is appreciated. I have no use for monetary contributions at this time.
I am embarking on this project primarily because of nostalgia and the hope that many existing and new generations of Exitilus fans might once again find the same thrill as I did over 10 years ago playing this spectacular game. Thank you.
